Dr. Zak Laird

Doctor of Chiropractic

Dr. Zak was born and raised in Des Moines. He grew up playing baseball and wrestling and it was his love for sports that would one day lead him to deciding to become a chiropractor. Following what seemed to be a career ending injury Dr. Zak spent months trying to find a way out of pain. It wasn't until he found chiropractic that he found the answer. Instead of just treating the symptoms with medication, chiropractic found the root cause of his pain and within a couple visits Dr. Zak was on the road to recovery. It was at this moment in high school that Dr. Zak knew that he wanted to become a Chiropractor and help others like he had been helped.

Dr. Zak obtained his bachelors degree from Grand View University in Biology and Bio-Technology. Then he attended Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa, the birthplace of Chiropractic. At Palmer Dr. Zak found his love of chiropractic, specifically sports and pediatric chiropractic.

Before opening Reform Chiropractic, Dr. Zak worked as an associate Chiropractor at a very busy clinic in downtown Des Moines. After three and a half years of working alongside other chiropractors, Dr. Zak decided it was time to venture out on his own. Now he serves his own community of Altoona by trying to spread health one adjustment at a time.

Dr. Zak spends his free time with his loving wife and high school sweetheart Vancy, his two beautiful children Hudson and London. Dr. Zak likes spending his time outdoors, hunting, fishing and golfing in the summer months
